Things that presented to the lecturer

1. draft result of the questionnaire survey

From 4 June until 11 June 2021 a total of 72 respondents to the survey. 47 of them are female and 25 of them are male.

Awareness and Distribution

51 respondents are aware of the homelessness issue in Malaysia; most of the respondents define homelessness as someone sleeping and living on the streets, the main cause of homelessness is due to poverty. Other than that, respondents are more willing to distribute pre-packed healthy food and drinks for the homeless compare to others initiatives programs.

Intervention and Opinion

Respondents think that an income of more than RM2100 is needed to fulfill daily expenses in an urban city.

Respondents think that sustainable income is more effective to curb the homelessness issue in Malaysia.

Recommendation

Respondents replies of the program that can be included to curb homelessness issue in Malaysia -

• Provide training and education program

• Improve scheme or policy to protect people from becoming homeless

• Improve housing benefit by controlling rises of rental and cost of housing
