Intro about housewives

Base on our understanding housewife is a job that basically does not have a holiday, didn't gain any income, and needs to be on-call all the time.

A conclusion that can be made is that all these housewives are willing to do all for this work is maternal love and to be a responsible parents for their kids.

The history of housewife

Based on the research, the term housewife was not commonly been used before the 19 century. Before the 19 century, are mainly an agricultural society where a family member will need to help out own family business to gain income.

During the early 20 century where World War 1 & the Industrial Revolution started, manpower are all forced to fight the war but manpower is needed in the industry at the same time. This is where housewives are required to work outside to fulfill entry space in the industry. Besides that, it is also when the term housewife has commonly been used.

How future 'Housewife' will be like?

Maybe in the future, the position of husband and wife will be exchange.

Japan Housewife

From what we found out, Japan is a high-stress country. For a woman that is married and has a child, they are more wish to be a housewife compare to continue working. Below is some reason on why Japan women are more prefer to be a housewife.

• less stress (working overtime, the pressure that after work still need to do chores.)

• can spend more attention to their child

• need to pay to government base on their total family income (prefer to work a parttime as no tax will need to be paid)

Identity

This the research about the identity of housewives through an interview with my mom and anty, which had been a housewife for more than 20 years.

This video had reflected how housewife was treated by their family member in India. The woman in this video had spoken out about the pain and pressure of housewives in a traditional family. The woman was having a big curiosity about which identity was she is and was it the identity that she wanted.

PESTAL Analysis on housewife as an occupation

Current housewives were having less protected by government law and the minor public also have stereotyping issues toward housewives. Currently, the housewife will have less privacy time since there are many chores that need to be done on their own.

Below is a prediction on how the occupation 'housewife' will be.

In the future, hope that government are more aware toward housewife issue and protect them thought legal law. The housewife will have more private time for themself, thus in the future technology will become more modern and common be used to safe time.
